BIO-ATAK® is a very concentrated, powerful, bacterial stimulant. This organic extract is produced through a series of complex fermentation stages and digestive processes. BIO-ATAK® causes bacterium to multiply at an enormous rate and makes them produce large amounts of digesting enzymes. BIO-ATAK® works mainly with facultative, anaerobic, and aerobic bacteria. Using BIO-ATAK ® causes a shift to an aerobic action, where air is available, thereby greatly reducing odor problems.
BIO-ATAK® activates healthy organisms and bacteria that are already present in waste water.
BIO-ATAK® has successfully treated:
Application Rates
- Septic Systems - One quart in commode at night in the last flush or drain leading to the tank. One pint a week later. Preventative maintenance one cup each month. (four people in a house hold)
- Grease Traps - Charge the system by pouring one gallon in the main drain leading to the trap. If grease covers the trap, mix one gallon in three gallons of water and pour on top of the grease. Add one quart per day to the main drain and repeat for the next three days. For preventative maintenance, add one quart per week. (100 people per day served)
- Manure Pits (hog, dairy, and beef) - Can be applied directly into liquid portion of the storage facility or sprayed on floors, furrowing crates and equipment to be cleaned. Then wash into the transfer pump or pit. Use 2-3 gallons for every 1,000 square feet of surface area of the storage facility (length x width = area). Repeat this application in two weeks, then use one quart per week for each 1,000 square feet of surface.
- Food Processing Facilities - One pint mixed with water weekly for maintenance.
- Waste Treatment Plants - When starting treatment , begin where the sewage enters the plant. When it is cleaned up, then make applications upstream 1/2 mile to 1 mile at a time to allow the digestive organisms to clean the grease and other wastes from the lines.
- Lift Stations - First 3 days: 5 gallons per day per each 100,000 gallons, next 5 days: 2 gal per day per each 100,000 gallons. Maintenance: 1 pint per day each 10,000 gallons or 1 gallon per each 100,000 gallons. As the system cleans up, including sewer main and discharge, the amount may be lowered or raised to reach desired B.O.D. level.
- Oil Spills / Salt Spills - Treat soil with solution of BIO-ATAK® and water can be applied with pump up sprayer.
